We’ll visit many of the shops, eateries and artisans that call Evansville home – many of which have restored and remodeled historic buildings. We’ll also learn that Evansville is a “Green Leader” which fosters an innovative culture in its businesses as well as its students still in school. The spirit of community will be on display as we explore the treasures of the past and vision for the future in Evansville.

Marquette County - Central Wisconsin's Finest Vacation Land
Airdates: Sep 19-20, 2009; June 5-6, 2010

On this episode of Discover Wisconsin we’re doing it all in Marquette County, Wisconsin. We first have a delicious breakfast and steaming cup of coffee at Charlotte’s Café before hitting the water in a boat of our choosing thanks to Rendezvous Paddle and Sports. Once off the water, a visit to TNT Health, Beauty and Fitness Spa leaves us once again feeling renewed, refreshed and ready to take on the day. A night or two at Pioneer Motor Inn, just down the road, is a relaxing finish to any day. Waking up on the “right” side of the bed we visit Prairie Nursery to plan how to create our own natural landscapes and personal sanctuaries in our yards when we get home. We’ll wrap up our whirlwind tour with a Marquette County gem, Maggie Mae herself. We’ll eat, listen and dance our way through a day with her music and her spunky personality. After seeing all this, you’ll be planning your Marquette County vacation before we even have time to roll the credits.

The Kenosha Area - A Gem on Lake Michigan

Black River Falls - Tomah: "Get Out and Play"

Manitowish Waters: We’ve Got It All
