John Michael Kohler Arts Center-Sheboygan, WI
2008 DW Destination
The center’s goal is to support artists and their art while keeping a focus on a grassroots, broad based audience. A recent exhibit of environmental home space art is an example. But art goes beyond the center’s walls. There is a Connecting with Communities program. The ARTery aimed at those young budding artists and a special Art/Industry residency program where artists work with manufacturing employees to learn how to create artworks using molds and plastics and other industrial materials. The John Michael Kohler Arts Center also offers a variety of events in the performing arts.
