Ready, Set, Snow! - Northern Wisconsin Snowmobile Corridor

In this special episode we're exploring the thrill and excitement of snowmobiling, and the scenic beauty and adventure that comes along with it. We're focusing on four locations that are known for great snowmobiling. First, we'll visit Namakogen Lake and the Cable area, which are home to Lakewoods Resort, a spectacular place to make your base camp for a winter journey. Next, we'll head to Iron County, which boasts an average annual snowfall of 180 inches, and then we'll head to the "Eagle River 500" which winds through the beautiful Eagle River area. Finally, visit Oconto County; they have nine snowmobile clubs that maintain over 425 miles of trails for residents and visitors alike. This family fun activity can take you all over this great state, and with the interconnected Northern Wisconsin Snowmobile Corridor you don't even have to leave your sled.

Get ready for some backcountry adventure as we explore the Wisconsin wilderness with the thrilling sport of ATVing. We’ll begin our journey in the town of Rome. Home to Dyracuse Park, the Monroe Prairie Recreational Area, and miles of trails, Rome is truly an ATV-friendly destination. We’ll then make our way through the diverse landscape of Iron County as we attend one of the biggest ATV events of the year, the Pumpkin Run Rally. Next, we’ll see how the Wisconsin ATV Association is giving ATV enthusiasts easy access to trail maps, promoting the sport, and encouraging responsible ATV usage. Finally, we’ll travel to the Black River Falls area exploring the extensive Quad County Trail System and make a visit to the Bunkhouse Retreat for a little mud and adventure. With so many great opportunities and locations for your ATV adventure, it’s no wonder that each year more and more people make Wisconsin their ATV vacation destination. |
