Janesville Performing Arts Center

Janesville Performing Arts Center's unique setting lends it character. It is the site of the original Janesville High School, which opened in 1923. The Auditorium is full of wonderful examples of 1920s architecture. From the Prairie Style stained glass and ornate plaster molding to the original massive light fixtures, the Center is a wonderful space to sit back and enjoy a performing arts event.

Beloit's Historical Society

The city of Beloit has a rich history. To share its great history, the Beloit Historical Society was formed. Founded in Beloit, Wisconsin, in 1910, the Society's vision is to make history a focal point of community pride and to serve as a constant reminder to the community of its great and diverse heritage. With an enthusiastic staff, many dedicated volunteers, and a number of enriching programs, the Society endeavors to enlighten the community and to contribute to an understanding and appreciation of its history. The Society operates two sites, the Hanchett-Bartlett Homestead, and Lincoln Center, the location of its offices, exhibits, and collections.
