  • Join the Club – Snowmobiling in Wisconsin-

    The bulk of the work to create, manage and maintain our state’s snowmobile trails falls on the shoulders of one of the largest volunteer groups in the state – nearly 600 snowmobile clubs. And their work doesn’t begin when there’s snow on the ground. This episode focuses on ALL the hard work and dedication these individuals within the clubs have to keep the trails managed and maintained. And, we’ll visit some events throughout the year – that all feature the snowmobile.

  • Wisconsin’s Great Outdoors-

    One of Wisconsin’s biggest attractions is the great outdoors with its beauty and recreational opportunities that visitors can enjoy naturally. And one way to get really close to nature is to go camping at one of the state’s independently owned campgrounds. They offer a lot more than just a place to park your RV. And you’ll also discover how the state and Native American tribes are working together to preserve Wisconsin’s natural treasures.

  • Mauston – Four Seasons of Fun-

    The key to Mauston’s four seasons of fun starts with the fourth largest lake in Wisconsin, Castle Rock Lake. Providing year round recreation, sporting activities and natural beauty, this lake is home to Buckhorn State Park and provides a wonderful place to vacation. You can stop by tons of restaurants around the lake, including the Dirty Turtle or South Shore, for some tasty treats. And your taste buds won’t get any rest soon as you make your way through Mauston! But for generations women have played important roles on the farm and increasingly they are outnumbering men who are choosing dairy as a career. In this episode of Discover Wisconsin we pay homage to the Dairy Heiresses who work hard to make Wisconsin’s multi-billion dollar industry. We’ll introduce you to some of the state’s finest female dairy producers, cheesemakers, chefs, as well as some women who are aggressively recruiting the next generation of dairy leaders. Discover Wisconsin's New Host - Emmy Fink

Emmy Fink grew up in rural Yorkville, located in Southeastern Wisconsin. An honors graduate of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Emmy earned a double major in Broadcast Journalism and K-12 Physical Education. She is an avid Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan, as well as a certified yoga and fitness instructor. Her broadcast career began in 2006 when she joined Madison’s CW television, becoming the face of the station, and hosting the “Buzzed into Wisconsin” segments of the nationally syndicated The Daily Buzz. Emmy was one of more than 400 participants to audition during the five-month process, and Discover Wisconsin is thrilled to have Emmy as our host as we begin our new season.


In 1986 Dick Rose created the idea of showcasing Wisconsin's many great vacation treasures on a television show dedicated to Wisconsin tourism - appropriately named Discover Wisconsin. Discover Wisconsin Television was born in 1987, becoming the first public and private sector partnership under Governor Tommy Thompson's Administration.

Discover Wisconsin TV (DW-TV) is broadcast to a loyal weekly audience throughout the Midwest on a combination of network, cable, and satellite stations. Additionally, through the advent of satellite broadcasting, DW-TV is regularly viewed on cable stations all around the United States.

Discover Wisconsin Radio was launched in 1993 as a companion to DW-TV and is broadcast statewide in Wisconsin, in the Iron Range of Minnesota, and in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Listeners tune in to DW-Radio on over 50 stations throughout this region, Monday through Friday, 52 weeks per year.

Discoverwisconsin.com has been re-created to be a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, online tourism resource that coincides with the content of the Television and Radio programs. The purpose of Discoverwisconsin.com is to provide additional information about the destinations we feature and the best the state of Wisconsin has to offer vacationers.
